Tom joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in 1997 and has developed considerable experience in the area of workers' compensation, teaching the first course in this subject as an adjunct professor at Widener University. Tom also has gained extensive experience defending cases in the areas of premises liability, motor vehicle, products liability, torts, negligence defense, professional liability, and law enforcement. He currently handles major litigation for large clients in all of these areas.

Tom is a graduate of C.W. Post College. After graduation he moved to Delaware from New York where he grew up. Prior to beginning law school in 1987, he was a police officer in New Castle, Delaware. While a police officer, he worked as a detective, investigating a full range of cases from property crimes to homicides. 

While a student at Widener University School of Law, Tom worked for the Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control where he drafted water pollution regulations. Following graduation from Widener, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Henry Du Pont Ridgely, President Judge, and the Honorable Myron T. Steele in the Superior Court. He also worked at several area law firms.

Tom is an active member of his community. He has been a volunteer firefighter for 28 years, working with local fire companies. He is a water rescue instructor with the Delaware State Fire School and the Department of Natural Resources. He is also an amateur radio operator involved in emergency communications.

Tom formerly held a US Coast Guard Captain's License and remains an avid boater, teaching boating classes and water rescue. As an avid scuba diver, Tom ran the New Castle County Dive Team for a number of years.
