Two Marshall Dennehey Attorneys Selected by Best Lawyers in America© as 2017 "Lawyers of the Year"

Two Marshall Dennehey attorneys have been selected by Best Lawyers in America© as 2017 "Lawyers of the Year" for specific practice and demographic areas.

Timothy J. McMahon, Esquire, shareholder and managing attorney of the Harrisburg office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, has been selected the 2017 Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants "Lawyer of the Year" in Harrisburg. Additionally, Stephen A. Ryan, Esquire, senior counsel in the King of Prussia office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, has been selected the 2017 Medical Malpractice Law "Lawyer of the Year" in Philadelphia. Mr. Ryan also received this recognition in 2013.

As Chair of Marshall Dennehey's Trucking and Transportation Practice Group, Mr. McMahon devotes much of his practice to complex litigation involving the shipping of goods over waterways, highways and rail, and the personal injury matters that go along with it. He has represented a substantial number of commercial trucking companies, as well as owner-operators. He also has significant, ongoing experience in defending liquor liability, product liability and professional liability matters.

He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. He also holds an AV Preeminent™ Rating by Martindale-Hubbell® – the highest rating for professional competence of attorneys. Mr. McMahon is a graduate of Richard Stockton College and received his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law. He is a member of the Pennsylvania, Cumberland County and Dauphin County Bar Associations; the Defense Research Institute; and the Pennsylvania Defense Institute.

Mr. Ryan chairs both the Birth and Catastrophic Injury and the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Liability Practice Groups at Marshall Dennehey. He has 40 years of medical malpractice litigation experience and has tried more than 220 major medical malpractice cases to verdict. In addition to defending hospitals, physicians and all manner of health care facilities and professionals, Mr. Ryan also represents drug and medical device manufacturers in litigation and monitors these cases and all birth injury defense cases firmwide.
