Tashia M. Small Named to Lawyers of Color Hot List

Tashia M. Small, associate in the Jacksonville office, was recently named to the inaugural Lawyers of Color (LOC) Hot List for the Southern U.S. region. The Hot List recognizes outstanding, mid-career minority attorneys under the age of 40, following a nomination process that includes selection committee review and internal candidate research. Originally founded as On Being a Black Lawyer, LOC has been recognized by the American Bar Association, National Black Law Students Association and National Association of Black Journalists.

Ms. Small joined Marshall Dennehey in 2006 and focuses her practice on casualty matters, including insurance defense, automobile liability, professional liability, general liability, premises liability and construction defect litigation.

A 2004 graduate of Winthrop University, she received her juris doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2007. While earning her law degree, she served on the executive board of the Black Law Students Association and as the 5th Circuit Lt. Governor for the American Bar Association.
