Dennis Roman Named 2013 Pittsburgh Lawyer of the Year for Legal Malpractice By Best Lawyers in America©

Dennis J. Roman, shareholder with the Pittsburgh office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, has been named the "2013 Pittsburgh Lawyer of the Year for Legal Malpractice" by Best Lawyers in America©.

Best Lawyers began designating "Lawyers of the Year" in high-profile legal practice areas in 2009. Only a single lawyer in each legal practice specialty per designated metropolitan area is selected, based on voting averages received during peer-review assessments. The designation reflects the high level of respect a lawyer has earned among other leading lawyers in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, professionalism and integrity.

For over 30 years, Roman has concentrated his practice in the defense of professionals, with particular emphasis on lawyer liability claims. He has successfully defended attorneys and law firms sued as a result of claimed malpractice arising from myriad fields, including medical malpractice, securities, commercial litigation, corporate transactions, employment law, family law, bankruptcy, and many more.

A graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, Roman has an AV® preeminent™ rating with Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American, Pennsylvania and Allegheny Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute and the Pennsylvania Defense Institute.
