Claudia Costa to Speak at the 2015 CLM Professional Liability Conference

Claudia A. Costa, Special Counsel in Marshall Dennehey's Roseland office, will discuss liability issues surrounding sexual assaults on college campuses at the CLM 2015 Professional Liability Conference, to be held June 4 – 5 in Chicago.

Ms. Costa's presentation is titled, "Costs of a Higher Education: The Rise in Claims of Sexual Assault and Harassment on College Campuses." Joining Ms. Costa for this panel discussion are Ellen Fine, Assistant Vice President of Claims at Colony Specialty; Jennifer Weinstein, Claims Manager at Starr Adjustment Services, Inc.; and  Starr M. Kincaid, Partner at Lipson, Neilson, Cole, Seltzer, Garin, P.C.

A member of the firm's Professional Liability Department, Ms. Costa represents private and publicly held corporations in all aspects of employment-related matters. She also defends lawyers, accountants, and insurance brokers/agents in malpractice suits, and represents municipalities and townships in civil rights and municipal liability claims.

She is a member of the New York State Bar Association's Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section, where she serves on the executive committee and as the out-of-state district representative. She is also a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and the Defense Research Institute, where she sits on the steering committee for the Professional Liability section and as marketing chair for the association's annual Professional Liability conference. Ms. Costa additionally serves on the editorial board of LegalMalpracticeLawReview.com, an online publication offering summaries of recent legal malpractice decisions from around the country.

A graduate of Saint Peter's University and Fordham University School of Law, she is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
