Nick joined Marshall Dennehey in 2001, practicing in the Professional Liability Department with a focus on insurance coverage issues, specifically PIP SIU, lemon law, consumer fraud, and insurance law.
In 1980 Nick graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Air Force, having completed four-years of ROTC. He then graduated from Communications-Electronics Systems School at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi and was assigned to the 6948th Electronic Security Squadron at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. His duties entailed temporary deployments to Germany, Honduras, and Saudi Arabia.
Nick then attended law school at Rutgers-Camden and graduated with a juris doctor with high honors in 1987.
He returned to the military as a U.S. Navy JAG officer from 1987-91. He was a criminal defense attorney defending military personnel in a variety of special and general courts-martial in Norfolk, Virginia, and overseas, as well as in administrative proceedings. He later was assigned to the tort claims office and represented the Navy in connection with claims asserted against the government and, moreover, affirmatively prosecuted claims to recover the costs of medical care of injured military personnel from responsible entities.
Upon leaving the Navy, Nick entered the private practice of law in southern New Jersey, working primarily on the side of the defense.
