Michael McQuaide is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office practicing in the firm's Casualty Department. He is experienced in handling both first and third party cases involving automobile accidents and premises liability. Mike also continues to develop his litigating and investigating claims of insurance fraud as a member of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) practice group.
Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Michael was a trial attorney with the Fort Lauderdale office of Allstate Insurance Company, where he served as lead counsel on several civil jury trials to verdict. After joining Allstate Staff Counsel in 2010, he was named 2011 Allstate Florida Staff Counsel Trial Master based upon the number of cases tried and the results he obtained. While in this role, he handled bodily injury, personal injury protection and special project cases across seven Florida counties.
Michael spent several years with the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office before joining Allstate, prosecuting misdemeanor, juvenile and felony offenses. He was later promoted to the Insurance Fraud Unit of the Organized Crime Division where he focused on the prosecution of complex cases, working closely with the Florida Division of Insurance Fraud and other law enforcement agencies. To date, Michael has tried dozens of criminal cases to verdict.
