
Martin concentrates his practice in the firm's Casualty Department with an emphasis on general liability, auto liability, maritime, construction defect, asbestos/toxic tort, medical and nursing home malpractice. As managing shareholder of the firm's Jacksonville office, Martin oversees the day-to-day operations for the entire office, ensuring that client matters are handled promptly, professionally and effectively.
Martin served in the United States Marine Corps as a judge advocate on active duty during 1992 to 2004. His experiences as a judge advocate include litigation as a prosecutor, teaching as an associate professor in the Criminal Law Department, The Judge Advocate General's School, U.S. Army, and serving as a trial judge in the Piedmont Judicial Circuit, Navy, Marine Corps Trial Judiciary.
Martin graduated from the Ohio State University in 1983. Upon graduation, he entered the United States Marine Corps and served as a combat engineer for five years. In 1989, Martin was selected to attend law school under the Funded Legal Education Program. In 1992, he graduated as a Sterling Honor (top 5%) from the University of South Dakota School of Law.
Martin dedicates some of his busy schedule to the community and participates in events like the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and Habitat for Humanity.
