Lawrence is a member of the Professional Liability Department and concentrates his practice in municipal liability, employment law and civil rights matters. In this capacity, he represents police departments, municipalities and school districts in various claims made and suits brought against them. 
 
For some six years before joining Marshall Dennehey, Lawrence served as an assistant public defender in Dauphin County Pennsylvania where he became death penalty certified. Here, Lawrence served as the lead first chair attorney in numerous criminal matters and also represented clients in state and county revocation hearings, indirect criminal contempt hearings, competency determinations and mental health commitments. 
 
In 2000, Lawrence earned his B.S. in business administration from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. While at Widener University, he was a four-year member of the football team. He then went on to earn his juris doctor from Widener University School of Law, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in 2003 and was a member of the Widener Civil Law Clinic and the Student Bar Association.
