Eric's practice is exclusively devoted to representing the insurance industry, addressing insurance coverage needs and defending companies in extra-contractual and bad faith matters. Eric has provided seminars for clients on issues ranging from bad faith in first party automobile claims handling to indemnity agreements in construction contracts.
 
After graduating from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1999, Eric clerked for the Honorable Gene D. Cohen on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas before entering private practice with Marshall Dennehey. 

Significant Representative Matters

  • Summary judgment dismissing bad faith count in first party medical benefits case arguing that the motor vehicle code provides the exclusive remedy for medical benefits claims.

  • Case dismissed against carrier on preliminary objections where insured argued that patent invalidity claim fell within personal liability coverage as "malicious prosecution" in general liability policy.

  • Summary judgment in case contending arbitration provision in UIM endorsement that did not include binding arbitration was valid and enforceable.

  • Summary judgment in favor of subcontractor on indemnity cross-claim where contract included more than one indemnity agreement, and one did not include express language indemnifying contractor for its own negligence.
