Adam is an associate in the Professional Liability Department where he represents broker/dealers, registered representatives and investment advisors in court and in Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitration proceedings. Adam also represents broker/dealers and registered representatives in regulatory matters before the SEC, FINRA and state securities regulators. In addition, Adam provides compliance services to registered investment companies, investment advisers, broker-dealers, and securities industry professionals. He assists his clients in complying with all applicable federal and state securities and financial services laws.

Adam also has experience in Casualty matters, having handled litigation involving workplace-related injuries and deaths as well as general premises liability.

As well, Adam has successfully tried to verdict multiple criminal defendants in the First Judicial District of PA and serves as an arbitrator in that District as well as serving as a FINRA arbitrator.

Adam was a registered representative with four FINRA member firms. While in law school, he served as a law clerk at Marshall Dennehey, and then as an Associate upon graduation in 2002.  In 2005, he left Marshall Dennehey to own and operate a hedge fund which focused on trading Initial Public Offerings and secondary stock and fixed income offerings. While continuing to trade securities, he rejoined Marshall Dennehey as a attorney in 2009, dedicated to securities litigation and regulation, as well as complex commercial litigation and criminal defense.

Significant Representative Matters

  • Successfully argued a criminal appeal in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, involving the unreasonable search and seizure of contraband from an automobile.
