On The Pulse...Profile Of Our Roseland, New Jersey Office
By Joseph A. Manning, Esq.*

It is with great pleasure that I have been asked to write about the Roseland, New Jersey, office of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin. I believe the office contains many of the finest trial lawyers in New Jersey. The attorneys are a largely cohesive and supportive group reflecting a camaraderie seldom seen among professionals who could classify each other as competitors other than peers working toward a unified goal for excellence.

The attorneys in the office take pride in their professionalism; thus, there is a willingness among the attorneys to share knowledge and ideas with each other. This environment creates an intellectual and unique case handling atmosphere that inures to the benefit of both the attorneys and their clients.

The office generally is divided into four practice groups: Professional Liability Practice Group, Casualty Practice Group, Workers' Compensation Practice Group and Health Care Liability Practice Group. The practice groups themselves have sub-practice groups.

The Casualty Practice Group is guided by Michael Speer and includes George Helfrich as its senior casualty trial lawyer. Anthony Andrisano, Michael Glidden, Howard Myerowitz, Kevin Regan, Ken Skibinski, Raymond Terwilliger and Jennifer Watson round out the group, with Howard Myerowitz, Michael Glidden and Jennifer Watson primarily staffing the firm's New York practice as well.

A significant sub-division of the Casualty Group is the firm's Maritime Practice Group led by John R. Geraghty of Achille Lauro fame. He is assisted by J. Patrick Geraghty, Thomas Foti and Gerald Creighton.

The Casualty Group also contains some of the finest trucking lawyers in North Jersey: George Helfrich, John Geraghty, Thomas Foti and J. Patrick Geraghty.

The Professional Liability Practice Group's senior trial lawyer is Howard Mankoff, but the group is more than ably anchored by Hillary Fraenkel and Bruce Seidman. Both are experienced lawyers possessing excellent legal minds. Vicki Calabar rounds this group out. The group handles a variety of professional liability matters which includes, but is not limited to, employment litigation, legal malpractice, accounting malpractice and real estate issues.

A sub-division of the Professional Liability Practice Group is the Architectural, Engineering & Construction Defect Group. The senior lawyers in this group include Stephen Petrillo, Wendy Smith and William Waldron. Christopher Gonnella, Matthew Meyers, and Sunny Sparano complete the group. The group is deep, strong and talented.

A majority of the office's insurance coverage and appeals work is handled by Patricia McDonagh, who brings her own wealth of knowledge and experience to these areas of the law.

The Workers' Compensation Practice Group is comprised of a fine trio of lawyers which includes Dario Badalamenti, Gregory Bartley and Michael McMullen.

Last, but not least, is the Health Care Liability Practice Group which includes medical malpractice and long-term care. The group has grown over the last two years and is guided by Frank Leanza. Frank is a senior experienced trial lawyer as are this year's new additions, Justin Johnson and Robert Evers. The group also includes the able associate support of Alicia Calaf, Eric Grogan and Grace Spencer.

The attorneys in this office successfully try, mediate, settle and move to have cases dismissed for a variety of procedural or sustentative reasons. I urge you to look at the website and review copies of the Defense Digest so that you can familiarize yourself with the accomplishments of the Roseland attorneys. If you haven't tried the office, please do.
