Eric Fitzgerald and Tony Ross (Scranton, PA) recently presented a seminar entitled "Ethics in the Maintenance of an Insurance Professional's Files" to claims, underwriting and agency members of the Northeast Chapter of the CPCU Society. Additionally, Eric also recently presented a seminar on Additional Insureds and Indemnification Agreements to Penn Millers Insurance Company.

Donna Modestine (King of Prussia, PA) was a panel member at the 2008 PLUS Medical Liability Symposium in Chicago, IL. She spoke to 450 PLUS members on the topics of "Emerging Trends in Hospital Liability: which included issues dealing with the state of the insurance market, Batch Events, Never Events and Privacy Liability.

Katherine Keefe and Daniel Sherry (King of Prussia, PA) recently presented "Medicare's New 'Never Events' Payment Rules/Medical Malpractice Impact" at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's two-day Health Law Institute at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Daniel Sherry (King of Prussia, PA) recently served as faculty at the Philadelphia session of the latest Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) seminar entitled "Current Issues in Medical Malpractice." Dan's main topic was titled "The Availability of Adverse Inference in Medical Malpractice Cases."

David Shannon (Philadelphia, PA) recently represented the Pennsylvania Bar Association Intellectual Property Law Section at the PBA's annual mid-year meeting. David currently serves as the Chairman of the Intellectual Property Law Section.

Keith Heinold's (Philadelphia, PA) insightful article "Crashworthiness-Simple in Theory, Complex in Application" was recently published by the Defense Research Institute in its In House Defense Quarterly, Winter 2008 issue. We are very proud of the fact that Keith has been published by such a distinguished publication.

James Pocius (Scranton, PA) recently spoke at the PESI National Conference on Workers' Compensation Top Medical and Legal Issues 2008 Update in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jim spoke regarding Update on Medicare Set-Asides: Medicare Condition Payments, Practice Consideration when Dealing with Medicare Set-Asides; and Coming & Going Rule, When is the Worker Covered under Workers' Compensation Statutes? Jim was also the Moderator for the Panel Discussion: Difficult Medical Issues in Workers' Compensation.

Fred Roller (Philadelphia, PA) presented a three-hour seminar for the Insurance Society of Philadelphia on the subject of "Medical Malpractice Liability and Tort Reform."
