First with offices in and around the Philadelphia area, and then into other states, and then into such far away places as Ohio and Florida, clients and customers wanting this commitment and excellence have allowed Marshall Dennehey to expand its reach beyond Philadelphia. While doing this, Marshall Dennehey has remained a connected law firm between and among offices.

The Akron, Ohio, office represents the furthest point west of Marshall Dennehey's reach. Founded in 2003, the Akron office has surely and steadily grown from one lawyer to five lawyers; from one legal assistant to three legal assistants and an administrative assistant. Relying on the time-honored formula for customer service practiced by this firm's founders, the Akron office has grown in its reach throughout the state of Ohio.

The Akron lawyers practice in all the federal courts in Ohio and literally throughout all the major Courts of Common Pleas of Ohio. Our work includes handling major trucking cases, products liability cases, premises liability cases, vehicular negligence, and professional liability. Our lawyers strive to provide cutting-edge service with a close attention to the dates, deadlines, and details required in an insurance defense practice.

Recently, Marshall Dennehey welcomed two new shareholders to the Akron adventure. Kim Wyss and Jim Hanratty, both seasoned trial lawyers, joined the Akron team in 2006. Each provides a wealth of time-honored and time-tested trial experience, client counseling, alternative dispute resolution, and pre-litigation evaluation of claims and defenses. It is just as likely that you will see both Jim or Kim in a court room as in the office.

In addition to Jim and Kim, the Akron team includes Chris Reece and Marty Sitler. Chris handles a wide variety of cases and is most known for both his motion and appellate practice. A native of Akron, Ohio, Chris is not only very familiar with northeastern Ohio and the legal community, but also has deep roots in the community as well. Marty Sitler joined Marshall Dennehey after a very successful career as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Marty retired as a lieutenant colonel and had extensive trial and judicial experience before joining Marshall Dennehey. Marty handles a wide variety of cases throughout Ohio, including warranty claims, medical negligence claims, premises liability claims, and construction defect cases. Both Marty and Chris form a solid team for the continued growth of the Akron office.

Of course, the Akron team is only successful with the help of our valuable assistants. Robbyn Moore joined our office early and is known for her technical experience, attention to detail, and making sure that the trains run on time. Jennifer House recently joined our office and brings to the Akron team a careful attention to the needs and interests of our clients and customers and in assuring that each gets information as quickly as possible. Denise Reed works with the managing shareholder of the Akron office and provides valuable support in the day-to- day activities on behalf of Marshall Dennehey in Akron. Complementing our team is Nancy Forshey, whose roots are deep in the community, and who makes sure that our files are up-to-date and organized.

As the managing shareholder of the Akron office, it has been my pleasure to work with this team.
