Timothy A. Casey is a shareholder in the Wilmington, Delaware, office of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin. He devotes his practice to Delaware workers' compensation on behalf of self-insured employers and insurance carriers.

Tim has been involved in the defense of workers' compensation matters for carriers and self-insureds since 1982. He has handled thousands of workers' compensation cases over the course of his career. His experience has covered all conceivable types of workers' compensation claims, including complex litigation involving repetitive trauma claims, occupational diseases, mental stress cases, chemical sensitivity claims, and sick building syndrome cases. Representative clients include automobile assembly plants, large international consumer product companies, hospitals and regional medical centers, an international telecommunications company, and many others.

Tim has handled numerous cases before both the Delaware Superior and Delaware Supreme Court in workers' compensation matters. He was most recently involved in the representation of employers in two separate quadriplegic cases involving a successful global resolution of both claims, including related third party negligence actions.

Tim is a graduate of the University of Delaware and the Dickinson School of Law. From 1979 to 1982, he served as the Deputy Attorney General for the State of Delaware, where he acted as counsel to the Delaware Industrial Accident Board.

Tim is the past chair of the Delaware State Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Section and is a current member and co-chair of the Industrial Accident Board Rules Committee. He is a member of the Defense Counsel of Delaware, the Delaware State and American Bar Associations, and the Defense Research Institute, where he presently serves as the Delaware State Liaison for the DRI Workers' Compensation Section.

Tim has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 1995. He has been featured by Delaware Today Magazine as one of Delaware's top lawyers in the workers' compensation field.  He lectures frequently on workers' compensation topics at seminars sponsored by the Delaware Bar Association, the Industrial Accident Board, the Delaware Claims Association, and other business and professional groups.

Tim devotes valuable time to community activities for the following organizations: The Highlands Community Association, Ulster Project Delaware, and St. Ann's Parish Council.
