Phil serves as the Chairman of the Executive Committee, which is the governing body of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin. Phil also serves as the Director of the Professional Liability Department and is also a member of the firm's Board of Directors. In his capacity as Director of the Professional Liability Department, Phil is responsible for the oversight of 11 separate practice groups and approximately 150 attorneys throughout all of the firm's offices.

In 1980, Phil began his career at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin as a law clerk. He is a 1978 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Drew University. Following earning his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Drew University, Phil received his Juris Doctorate in 1981 from the Temple University School of Law.

In addition to his duties and responsibilities at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin, Phil is also active in various organizations, including the Professional Liability Underwriters Society (PLUS) and the Philadelphia Bar Association where he received the distinction of being appointed by the Chancellor to serve as a representative to the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates.

Phil has the distinction of being named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer starting in 2005 to present in the area of Civil Litigation Defense. His legal acumen and accomplishments have resulted in Phil being named to Best Lawyers in America starting 2005 to present in the area of Professional Malpractice law.
