Michele V. Primis concentrates her practice in the defense of long term care providers, as well as physicians in medical malpractice and premises liability claims.  In this capacity, she has represented a large number of skilled nursing facilities, personal care homes, and long term acute care hospitals.  She has also defended physicians, dentists and methadone maintenance clinics in cases involving complex medical issues.
 
Michele has defended long term care facilities at trial in Pennsylvania and she has handled cases throughout western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
 
She successfully defended an appeal before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania regarding the admissibility of evidence regarding a physician's board certification status.  Michele has obtained summary judgment on behalf of a general dentist in a dental malpractice case, wherein the patient claimed that implants were improperly placed.  She also obtained summary judgment on behalf of a skilled nursing facility, wherein the patient claimed that the facility failed to provide proper care, including a failure to prevent the development of malnutrition and dehydration and infections.
 
Michele has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, Rising Star in 2008 and 2010.
 
Michele graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania in 1999 with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in German.  She received her Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2002.  While at Duquesne, Michele was a member of the Trial Moot Court team that won first place in the Gourley Moot Court Competition in 2002.  She was also elected to the Louis L. Mandarino Honor Society by the Duquesne University Law School faculty.  Michele joined the firm in 2002 as an associate attorney.
