Frank has developed an extensive practice in a wide range of areas including product liability, professional liability, premise liability, motor vehicle liability, construction defects and accidents, fires and toxic torts.  Product manufacturers, major retailers, trucking companies, municipalities and various professionals, to name but a few have enjoyed the results of Frank's significant experience as a trial lawyer. With over 30 years of experience, he has defended hundreds of casualty cases and served as lead trial counsel in dozens of jury trials.

Frank Baker is the supervising attorney for the casualty practice group in our Bethlehem, Pennsylvania office. His skills and effectiveness as a trial lawyer have earned him the highest peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Frank is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree, and Villanova Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor.  He then served as Law Clerk to a trial judge.  He is actively involved in civic activities in the Lehigh Valley, where he lives and works. 

Significant Representative Matters:

  • Obtained a defense verdict for rehabilitation hospital in a suit claiming permanent, disabling injuries from allegedly defective equipment.

  • Obtained a defense verdict for major Japanese manufacturer in a large commercial fire allegedly caused by a kerosene heater.

  • Obtained a defense verdict for a national school bus operating company in the death of a child who disembarked from school bus and was struck by a passing vehicle.

  • Obtained a defense verdict for manufacturer of commercial coffee brewing system in alleged "explosion" causing severe scalding injuries.

  • Successfully represented the owner of a chemical plant which suffered a catastrophic explosion, resulting in multiple deaths and leading to a number of complex lawsuits.

  • Obtained a summary judgment for an attorney sued for defects in a pre-nuptial agreement which resulted in a significant alimony award against his client.

  • Obtained a summary judgment for an attorney sued for missing a statute of limitations.

  • Successfully defended the designer/installer of fire suppression system in alleged premature release of system in gigantic frozen food warehouse.

  • Successfully and economically resolved a complex commercial roof collapse case through creative use of engineering and meteorological experts.
