Vicki L. Goodman Wilmington, Delaware
Ms. Goodman graduated Magna Cum Laude and in the top 5% of her class, earning her juris doctorate from Widener University School of Law in Delaware in May 2006. She also graduated with a Pro Bono Distinction for 87 hours of service during her law school career. Ms. Goodman was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society, and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. While in law school she earned Certificates of Achievement in the following classes: Business Organizations, Corporate Finance, Constitution Law II, Landlord Tenant Law and Delaware Practice. Additionally, Ms. Goodman earned the Outstanding Service Award; the Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer & Brecher Award; and the Howard M. Berg Award. Ms. Goodman was elected as the National Chair for the American Bar Association Law Student Division for the 2005-2006 term. During her term she initiated the Pro Bono Partnership Program which is designed to link attorneys with law students in an effort to make it easier for attorneys to take on pro bono clients. Five pilot programs were created at law schools across the country, with Widener University School of Law in Delaware being one of them. The program was very successful and will continued to benefit attorneys, law students and the public. Also during her term, Ms. Goodman lobbied members of Congress on Capitol Hill for increased Stafford Loan limits for law students and a modification to the current Income Contingent Repayment Option. Ms. Goodman was also appointed by ABA President Michael Greco to serve on the Presidential Task Force on Hurricane Katrina. In August 2006, Ms. Goodman was awarded the Gold Key for her service to law students and the Law Student Division. In 2004-2005 Ms. Goodman served as the Third Circuit Governor for the American Bar Association Law Student Division, representing the law students from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. During her term she created a program for law students to get involved in assisting victims of Domestic Violence. The students who participated raised money, collected suits and other necessities, adopted a room in a domestic violence shelter and represented victims in Court. In 2004, Ms. Godman clerked for Judge Barry Dozer in the Court of Common Pleas, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Prior to law school, Ms. Goodman was employed as the Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) for South Central Pennsylvania. Her office was consistently ranked as one of the top offices in the nation. Ms. Goodman graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in December 2000. She earned a B.S. in Communication: Public Relations in only three and a half years.
