Stephen J. Barcavage Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Steven J. Barcavage graduated from Wright State University, summa cum laude, in 1993 earning his Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication. After graduating, he attended Dickinson School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 1996. While in law school, Mr. Barcavage was a Certified Legal Intern with the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System. Following graduation, he went on to become an Opinion Writer with the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Appeal Board. Mr. Barcavage then became an Attorney Examiner for the Pennsylvania Medical CAT Fund. While employed with the CAT Fund, he worked on medical malpractice claims until he was offered a position from a prominent businessman in Harrisburg, John O. Vartan. Mr. Barcavage accepted the position and became the Corporate Counsel and Secretary for Vartan Enterprises, Inc. He handled the many legal aspects of Mr. Vartan's companies, and also served on the Vartan National Bank Board of Directors. Mr. Barcavage joined the law firm of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in April 2002. He continues to focus his practice in the areas of medical malpractice and general liablity.
