Robert St. Leger Goggin is a graduate of St. Joseph's University. Following graduation from college, he attended Temple Law School where he achieved his Juris Doctorate in 1961. He then entered the United States Air Force Judge Advocate Corp. Mr. Goggin served as a Captain at Chateauroux Air Force Base, Chateauroux, France from 1962 to 1965. During that period of time he participated both as trial and defense counsel in Special and General Court Martials throughout the entire European area.

Following Mr. Goggin's honorable discharge from the military in 1965, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania from 1965 through 1968. For a period of approximately one (1) year, he served as Chief of the Criminal Division of that office and during his tenure tried numerous criminal and civil cases for the United States Government.

In 1968, Mr. Goggin became affiliated with the firm then known as Marshall, Dennehey and Warner and has remained active in trial practice with that firm until this time. Mr. Goggin has been a shareholder in this firm since 1970 and served as a member of the Executive Committee from 1970 through 1997.

Mr. Goggin's trial experience is wide-ranging but his primary emphasis has been in the areas of products liability, legal and medical malpractice, civil rights and employment law.

Mr. Goggin served as a Adjunct Professor at St. Joseph's University for several years and has lectured for various organizations including the Pennsylvania Claims Association, Pennsylvania Bar Institute and numerous other legal organizations. He is currently a national representative for this area to the American Board of Trial Advocates and also serves as Judge Pro Tem for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.  Mr. Goggin has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2006 and 2009 in the area of Personal Injury Defense.
