Michael A. Packer Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Michael A. Packer joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin as a shareholder in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office. Mr. Packer primarily represents insurers in coverage and extra-contractual liability litigation. Mr. Packer is often called upon to provide pre-suit coverage analysis and opinions, as well as to conduct Examinations Under Oath and file DEC actions. Mr. Packer provides assistance to insurance carriers who are required to respond to Civil Remedy Notices of Insurer Violations. In addition, Mr. Packer's practice focuses on general insurance defense, including wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, employment discrimination, professional liability, construction defect, subrogation, insurance coverage, bad faith and civil litigation. In addition, Mr. Packer has participated in a number of jury trials through verdict, all of which resulted in either a defense verdict or a verdict which was less than the amount demanded. Mr. Packer also has substantial experience in alternative dispute resolution, having represented clients in a number of mediation and arbitration proceedings. Mr. Packer has presented a number of seminars on auto negligence and uninsured motorist claims. In addition, Mr. Packer has lectured on defending first party property damage claims including sinkhole and mold claims, which included review and analysis of claims handling procedures, as well as recommendations for the same.
