Matthew P Keris Scranton, Pennsylvania
Matthew Keris has an extensive medical malpractice defense practice, representing doctors, physician groups, hospitals and regional health centers. He received his bachelor's degree from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law. As a claims attorney with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Medical Professional Liability Catastrophe Loss Fund, he managed several hundred Philadelphia area medical malpractice cases before entering private practice in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, focusing primarily on medical malpractice, general liability and products liability defense.
In addition to his active trial practice, Mr. Keris has been involved in the continuing education of medical and legal professionals, including the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as a frequent author and lecturer on the latest developments in risk management and medical malpractice litigation.
Mr. Keris is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the U.S. Middle District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, Lackawanna County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, formerly serving as the co-chairman in the PBA's Young Lawyers Division.
