Matthew J. Behr Cherry Hill, New Jersey
Matthew J. Behr joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in 2003, bringing with him considerable employment law experience. He spent the previous three years with the Atlantic City, New Jersey law firm of Cooper Perskie April Niedelman Wagenheim & Levenson, P.A., working as an associate in the Employment Law/Negligence Defense Department.
Mr. Behr currently represents public entities in the areas of employment law and municipal liability. He represents municipal and county governments, police departments, police officers, and school boards in cases relating to civil rights, sexual harassment, age discrimination, race, ethnic, gender and handicap discrimination. He also has vast experience in cases involving retaliation and whistle blowing under state law. Mr. Behr also represents governmental entities involving land use issues. His practice involves both federal and state court. Mr. Behr received his B.A. in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University in 1994. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law in 1998. He was a member of the Legislative Journal and the Family Law Clinic, and was a Co-Director of the Student Tutorial Organization, and a Teaching Assistant. Following law school, Mr. Behr served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable George L. Seltzer in Atlantic City. Mr. Behr is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
