Martin Sitler Akron, Ohio
Martin H. Sitler graduated from the Ohio State University in 1983. Upon graduation, he entered the United States Marine Corps and served as a Combat Engineer for five years. In 1989, Mr. Sitler was selected to attend law school under the Funded Legal Education Program. In 1992, Mr. Sitler graduated as a Sterling Honor from the University of South Dakota School of Law. From 1992 to 2004, Mr. Sitler served the United States Marine Corps as a judge advocate on active duty. His experiences as a judge advocate include litigation as a prosecutor, teaching as an Associate Professor in the Criminal Law Department, The Judge Advocate General's School, U.S. Army, and serving as a trial judge in the Piedmont Judicial Circuit, Navy-Marine Corps Trial Judiciary. Following Mr. Sitler's honorable discharge and retirement from the military in 2004 as a Lieutenant Colonel, he began his career with Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman and Goggin in the firm's casualty practice group.
