Attorney Profiles

Ken focuses his practice on claims made and suits brought against contractors, engineers, and manufacturers who supply products to the construction industry. He has worked on both the plaintiff and defense side of these matters and brings and informed perspective on the goals sought by plaintiffs to his work in defending these claims in both large and small scale cases. During his time as both plaintiff's and defendant's counsel, Ken worked on numerous motions made before the Superior Court of New Jersey and has made applications to the Appellate Division.

Ken's informed perspective of the construction industry was shaped as the result of being raised in a construction family, his father having been a remodeling contractor and then a construction product sales management professional for many years.  At an early age Ken became familiar with the construction industry and building trades, and worked on construction sites for his father throughout his young life.

In 1994 Ken graduated Cum Laude from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor's degree in History. While an undergraduate at Seton Hall, he served as an officer for Seton Hall's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the International History Honor's Society. 

He then earned his JD from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1997, with his study concentrated primarily in the areas of product liability and intellectual property. Ken  also performed independent study in the then new area of internet jurisdiction in regulating on line gambling. This led to Ken's three and half year tenure with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, Regulatory Prosecutions Section.

In 2001, Ken began prosecuting professional licensees for violations of New Jersey's consumer protection law as a member of the New Jersey Division of Law, Consumer Affairs-Professional Boards Unit.  This work included prosecuting design professionals, including architects, engineers and planners for failure to maintain professional standards of care as required by state law.

In 2002, Ken took his understanding of the responsibilities of design professionals and builders into the private defense arena, working on several large-scale construction and design professional defense cases for Hack Piro, until moving to the plaintiff's side in 2005.  In bringing claims on behalf of plaintiffs with Davidson Legal Group, Ken developed a keen understanding of what makes a worthwhile plaintiff's claim versus a frivolous and excessive one. 

Desiring to use this experience in defending design professionals, builders and construction product manufacturers, Ken joined Marshall, Dennehey in the Construction Defect Unit in 2008.
