Kacey C. Wiedt devotes his practice exclusively to workers' compensation, representing clients in the construction, grocery, hospitality, staffing, landscaping, processing and transportation industries. He focuses on high exposure, complex workers' compensation litigation and has handled more than 1,000 cases throughout his 15-year career.
Kacey has successfully defeated numerous claim petitions by presenting complex legal strategy to show that claimants did not sustain a work-related injury and/or corresponding disabilities. He has also effectively terminated benefits of claimants by presenting medical and surveillance evidence supporting that the claimants are completely recovered from their work injuries.
Since 2002, Kacey has served as the managing attorney of the Workers' Compensation Department in the firm's Harrisburg office. Kacey also actively participates in seminars and presentations to educate employers and insurance companies on workers' compensation issues.
Kacey is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College. He subsequently attended Widener University School of Law, where he achieved his juris doctor in 1996. Following graduation from law school, Kacey assumed a law clerk position with the Workers' Compensation Judges' Office in Harrisburg.
