Joanna D. Buchanico graduated cum laude from Widener University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.  Ms. Buchanico began her legal career in 2001 as a litigation paralegal at Dechert LLP.  While working full time at Dechert LLP, Ms. Buchanico received her Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law's Evening Division in 2005.

Ms. Buchanico continued her legal career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Seamus P. McCaffrey in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.  In 2005, she became an associate at Bolognese & Associates, concentrating in large antitrust class actions and securities cases.  Presently, Ms. Buchanico devotes her practice to the firm's Casualty Group.
