Douglas J. Kent Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Douglas J. Kent is a graduate of Penn State University where he majored in history and participated in varsity athletics. He graduated magna cum laude and was named Phi Beta Kappa. He received the Penn State Superior Scholar-Athlete from Joe Paterno. Following graduation from college, he attended the Villanova University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in 1983. He served on the Moot Court Board at Villanova.
Mr. Kent has concentrated his law practice in casualty defense focusing on complex and high exposure cases involving insurance coverage, bad faith, premises liability, construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents and products liability. He began his career with the Masterson, Braunfeld, Himsworth & Maguire firm and then went to LaBrum and Doak.
Mr. Kent came to Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in 1995. He serves as a Unit Manager in the Casualty Department in addition to handling a full case load.
Mr. Kent has lectured for various clients and organizations such as the Insurance Society of Philadelphia on such topics as insurance coverage, bad faith and premises liability. He serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia.
