Douglas M. Alba Cherry Hill, New Jersey
Douglas M. Alba, Esquire, joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in 2002. Prior to this, he was a Deputy Attorney General in the Education, Health and Human Services Section at the Division of Law for the Attorney General of New Jersey for four years. In this position, Mr. Alba handled complex health, civil rights and tort defense litigation in federal and state courts while representing the Department of Health and Senior Services, Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services and Division of Mental Health Services. Mr. Alba was also counsel to the New Jersey Spinal Cord Injury Commission, the Board of Nursing Home Administrators and the Department of Human Services' HIPAA Compliance Committee. Prior to becoming a Deputy Attorney General, Mr. Alba served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable F. Michael Caruso, J.S.C., Law Division, Superior Court in 1997-1998. Since joining Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman and Goggin, Mr. Alba's areas of practice encompass health care liability defense, professional liability defense, insurance fraud litigation, insurance defense, and personal injury protection benefits litigation. Mr. Alba received a B.A. in 1992 from Marist College and graduated with a J.D. in 1997 from the Rutgers School of Law at Camden. Mr. Alba is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
