Mr. Dorman has extensive experience in appellate litigation, labor law, and litigation experience.  As appellate counsel, he has written over 300 appellate briefs and presented oral argument in over 40 cases before various appellate courts.  Mr. Dorman has supervised all criminal appellate litigation for the Department of the Navy.  He has served as appellate judge for 6 1/2 years, publishing more than 40 appellate decisions he personally authored. 

In his practice of labor law, Mr. Dorman has negotiated labor agreements for management impacting over 17,000 employees, and has litigated labor cases before arbitrators and Federal Administrative Law Judges.  His practice included appellate litigation of labor cases as well. 

In addition to labor litigation, Mr. Dorman has handled over 300 cases as either a prosecutor or defense counsel.  He has served as Special Assistant United States Attorney, prosecuting cases in U.S. Federal Magistrates' Court and has assisted the U.S. Attorney in defense of aircraft accident litigation and employment discrimination litigation.

Mr. Dorman has been awarded the Legion of Merit five times and the Meritorious Service Medal four times.  He has received ABA awards for Law Day Programs and was nominated for the ABA Award as Outstanding Younger Federal Attorney.
